The Hits
Welcome to the Fall 2024 Season! We are looking forward to our largest fall yet with 175 players and 16 teams. In addition to information from coaches and team parents, the Weekly Hits is the best way to stay up-to-date on everything you need to know from Northwest Softball. Team Placement, Practices, and Games
Our draft will take place on Wednesday, August 21 and you should hear from your coach by this Friday with information on your team including your practice schedule. Practices will begin August 26 (1x a week for 6U & 8U, 2x a week for 10U-14U). There are no evaluations for the fall season.

Games begin with our opening day on Saturday, September 7. Most games will take place on Saturdays and a full season schedule will be uploaded into Team Sideline as soon as it is available.

If you volunteered to coach, you should have received an email from Jorge Padilla with information for the season. If you have any questions, email president@nwsoftball.org.  

Player Equipment List
Team jerseys and socks are provided by the league and will be handed out by your coach prior to opening weekend (September 7). We ask parents to supply their player(s) with a glove, black softball pants, face mask, batting helmet, cleats (recommended - especially 10U and up), and bat. Our DICK’S - NWS League Savings Event will take place August 30 - September 2. Watch for details on how you can save 20% as you gear up for the season!

We will be utilizing the Team Sideline app this fall. Coaches will set up a Team Site to send communications, update schedules, and take attendance for practices and games. It’s the best way to stay informed and communicate with other team parents.

 Returning NWS Equipment

2024 Spring and All-Star Coaches - As the fall season approaches, please check your garages, trunks, and storage areas for NW Softball balls. We are severely short as many seem to have gone missing/borrowed. If you find a missing bucket, please add it back to the shed asap (by Sunday at the latest). As we get close to the season, we need to make sure we have balls for players, especially with the large number of teams. Balls are a large material expense for the league and replacing many buckets is an unplanned cost.
